Benjamin Franklin is quoted as saying, “Certainty? In this world there is nothing certain but death and taxes.” Anyone who has lived in this world understands how completely true this statement is, not only are taxes a fact of life, but they can ruin your quality of life if you find yourself in a tax debt situation. For 17 years I have helped people and businesses with their tax issues all across this great nation. Contact me today to discuss your particular situation.

IRS Collection Letter?

There is really not much worse mail you can get besides a collection letter from the IRS or your local state Department of Revenue. You know the letter, the one that screams “Pay up or else! Oh, and while you are at it, tell us everything about you including where all your money is kept, give us your paycheck every payday, and don’t think about trying to sell your house!”

The incredible stress of dealing with the collection division of these agencies is considerable for you, your family and your business. The worst part is that if you don’t comply, the penalties and interest continue to grow, or at the absolute worst, turn into a criminal prosecution! Our clients provide us these letters and we deal with them. We never allow our clients to talk to the IRS or any other Department of Revenue about these letters!

What Does the IRS or Tax Department Know?

Taxpayers have the right to look at their own tax files. Many taxpayers would be surprised to see how much and often how little the IRS or State Department of Revenue actually knows about them. Requesting such records is best done by a Professional who understands how the IRS and State Departments of Revenue works and can read the coded documents in your file. When I request such information it does not raise any red flags and usually I have the file information within 30 days. If you’re concerned about what they know about you, we can take a quiet peek for you.

Don’t Worry…But Don’t Talk To Them Either.

Taxpayers that find themselves at odds with the IRS or other Department of Revenue should never speak directly with the particular agency, even if you’re completely innocent. Get a Professional who deals with them every day to handle the discussions.

It’s amazing how many tax debt cases are generated out of seemingly normal, innocent conversations. Avoid worrying about tax problems by having an experienced Professional take care of them. Your tax problem becomes our problem. We can usually provide you fast and efficient help with any tax problem.

Do I Have To Pay Penalties?

The IRS and all other Departments of Revenue assess penalties against taxpayers for all kinds of reasons. The purpose of penalties is to punish taxpayers enough so they won’t do the same thing again. Well, the penalty idea has gotten out of control! What may start as a small, workable debt can blossom, seemingly overnight, into a sizeable problem that can equal more than your home, car, and other possessions combined are worth!

Taxpayers are being severely punished by tax penalties to the point of putting their families and themselves into extreme hardship!

What most people don’t know is…That many of these penalties can be reduced or wiped out completely! The IRS and other Departments of Revenue have guidelines which allow many circumstances where the taxpayer can be relieved of some, or even all, of the penalties.

We request that a taxpayer contact our firm explaining the situation and all the things that went on in their life at the time the debt and penalties began, and then we can compose a Request for Penalty Abatement or other tax option as available. It’s a great way to reduce penalties or avoid penalties!

Can I Make Monthly Payments?

When you find that you can’t pay what you owe, many tax agencies will allow you to work out some type of payment arrangements. The IRS and other Departments of Revenue have guidelines for what expenses they will allow each month and they are very stringent. But the bottom line is that you only pay toward the tax debt what you can afford each month! For example: A taxpayers who owes the IRS $43,000.00 may only be able to pay $50.00 per month yet a taxpayer who owes $16,000.00 may be paying $800.00 a month. Every situation is unique; we can work with you to arrange a payment plan that fits your individual budget.

How much you owe does not matter. The payment arrangements are based on how much you can pay. You must understand what the IRS and Department of Revenue’s guidelines are BEFORE any contract is made with the tax agency regarding monthly payments.

We review a taxpayer’s financial condition and can usually suggest the amount the tax agency will accept for a monthly payment before we contact the IRS or State Department of Revenue.

Our clients must approve the monthly payment amount before we agree to anything with the IRS or other Department of Revenue. The best time to handle a payment arrangement is BEFORE the tax agency levies your bank account, lien or levy against your home and other personal property, or garnishes your wages. However, arranging a payment plan may also result in the IRS or other Department of Revenue to lift and remove such levies or garnishments!

Can I Settle For Less Than I Owe?

Many taxpayers find themselves in a position where they can never pay off the tax debt. It’s mathematically impossible with all the penalties and interest the IRS and State Departments of Revenue continues to ADD every day! These old tax liabilities can prevent you from ever owning a home or car. The banks won’t even talk to you with a Federal Tax Lien on your credit! The constant worrying about how to get on with life is never ending.

The IRS and many other States have a program called an Offer In Compromise which allows you to pay the tax liability a small amount (to as little as pennies on the dollar) and have them wipe out the total amount you owe them, including all penalties and interest! When the tax agency accepts your Offer and you pay it, then ALL tax liens, garnishments, levies, or other collection activity is removed.

You Get Your Life Back!

Preparing and successfully negotiating an Offer In Compromise is a complicated process and currently can take as little as 9 months. Our firm handles all of the negotiations with the IRS or State Department of Revenue. Your Offer is completely handled by our firm. You never have to meet with the IRS or other tax agency to discuss your Offer.

I Haven’t Filed My Tax Returns, Now What?

Taxpayers get behind in filing tax returns from time to time and often make the problem worse by never filing. You know the IRS or other Department of Revenue is out there looking for you and you want to start sleeping like a baby again. So what’s the hold up?

Well, most people with unfiled returns are afraid of what will happen to them when they get back in the system. By using my office to represent you, as you file these old returns, my office will be the contact person with the IRS or State Department of Revenue. We will deal with all the communications and you can get back on track without worrying.

I Have Payroll Tax Problems, What Can I Do?

The first thing we recommend is that you don’t speak or meet with any IRS or other tax agency employee regarding payroll taxes. The IRS and other Departments of Revenue take payroll taxes very, very seriously. Just one wrong answer to a seemingly harmless question from an IRS or Department of Revenue employee can result in a devastating situation. Not just your business assets could be in jeopardy, but also your personal assets including your home! Have my office handle all the correspondence and meetings with the IRS or your local Department of Revenue.

Payroll tax problems can be solved, but typically not by yourself. Your goal should be to remove yourself immediately from any communications with the tax agency. Otherwise, everything you say can and will be used against you! You should not agree to be interviewed by any Revenue Agent without representation.

Our office meets with Revenue Agents regarding payroll tax issues, but NOT In Your Home or Office. We want to allow you every opportunity to operate your business in the best way possible by avoiding your direct contact with the Revenue Agent assigned to your case.

I Want To Be Able To Retire One Day.

Do you know those nagging tax problems can prevent you from ever retiring? The IRS, for instance, can levy your Social Security and Pension Benefits! If you never take care of your tax problems, you’ll probably work until you die!

Because you’ll never have the opportunity to save or have anything put away for retirement. Do yourself a favor and take the first step to ending your tax problems. Waiting will not help you or your family. Start NOW and in a short time you’ll be like your neighbors, co-workers and friends, enjoying life and not worrying about the Taxman knocking at your front door!
